Why Your Dream Client Ghosted You (And How to Stop It)

They didn’t ghost you because they hate you. They didn’t ghost you because they “forgot.”
They ghosted you because something in your pitch didn’t click, and you didn’t make it easy for them to say yes.

You Led With a Number, Not the Value

The first thing they saw was the price, and nothing else. When you lead with cost instead of context, you give them a reason to say no before they even know what’s on the table.

Your Copy Missed the Mark

Your words didn’t sell them; they stalled them.

  • Too soft? You sounded unsure.

  • Too defensive? You sounded like you were justifying every penny.

Both make people second-guess you. Speak with confident clarity.

Your Packages Blurred Together

If your packages read like the same thing with different numbers, they’re going to compare you to someone else. And maybe pick them. You don’t need fancy package names, just clarity. Call them what they are and make the differences obvious.

You Let Confusion Kill It

Confusion kills interest faster than price ever will. If they don’t understand what’s included, what they get, or why they should book you right now, they’re not going to spend hours decoding it.

You Left the Next Step Up to Them

“Let me know if you’re interested!” is not a call-to-action, it’s homework.
Don’t make them figure out what to do next. Include the link. Tell them the step. Make it simple.

Your Guide Was About You, Not Them

If your pricing guide reads like a brag sheet instead of a client experience, they’ll move on.
Clients want to picture themselves in your process, not read your résumé.

You Made Booking Feel Optional

A pricing guide isn’t a “just in case you want to book” PDF. It’s the final nudge that makes them think, Of course I’m booking this. That means clear next steps, confident language, and zero doubt about why they’re choosing you. Check out our guide here for reference. If you want our layout here’s the Canva template- just customize it to your brand, pricing and you! Want our in depth Branding Session Client Guide Template? Find that one here.

You Waited Too Long to Follow Up

Even the most interested leads can cool off fast. If you send your guide and disappear for a week, don’t be shocked if they’ve already booked someone else.

Anything else you can think of? Don’t hold back share it in the comments! This is about community. No gatekeeping here!
